NIO car deliveries in October impacted due to production line retooling

Shanghai (Gasgou) – NIO will delay delivery of some vehicles, which are expected to be released to consumers in October, as its vehicle production was affected this month by work to modify the JAC-NIO advanced manufacturing center in Hefei, according to a notification released by NIO. October 29.

NIO announced on October 15 that the gradual upgrading of production lines at Hefei’s manufacturing base has been completed, paving the way for the future introduction of new vehicle models and capacity expansion.

According to NIO’s recent notification, some assembly line operations are to be halted as part of the plant’s retooling, which disrupted auto production in October. For this reason, some new cars, which are expected to be received by buyers this month, are hanging on delivery.

The company apologized for the delay and said it will offer additional app credits as compensation to users who have been affected.

The renovations did not affect the outputs of the ET7s, the company said.

The production line gradually resumed operations during the last 10 days of October. The company added that it will deliver vehicles as soon as possible.
